In December, GEVA, in collaboration with Mr. Bui Khanh Tung, M.Sc. – Deputy Director of the Center for Organic Agriculture Development Support (VOAA), conducted a field survey in the linked coffee-growing areas and processing factory of NOSAVI Co., Ltd. (Brand: Ritachi Coffee) in Bao Lam District, Lam Dong Province.

Ritachi Coffee is developing a specialty coffee value chain spanning from raw material areas to processing and consumption, with a strong focus on transparency, sustainability, and building a distinctive identity for Vietnamese coffee. One of the company’s flagship products is Tree-Ripened Fermented Coffee, produced from 100% fully ripe coffee cherries, naturally anaerobically fermented, and continuously dried for 30 days in a closed greenhouse system at the farm. The product offers a sweet, ripe-fruit flavor profile with an enticing aroma. Notably, thanks to the fermentation process, its caffeine content is reduced by 30–35%, allowing consumers to enjoy the coffee without concerns about palpitations or heart discomfort.

During the survey, the expert conducted the following activities:

  • Assessing the current status of the coffee-growing areas, the scale of linkages, and processing practices

  • Providing consultancy on models connecting raw material zones, processing facilities, and consumer markets

  • Acknowledging the company’s strong commitment to systematic investment and its development orientation toward clean, high-quality coffee

Sharing from Ritachi Coffee:

“The working session provided Ritachi with valuable professional insights into the application of Voluntary Sustainability Standards (VSS) to enhance export capacity and meet the increasingly stringent sustainability requirements of international markets.”

Following the survey, GEVA will continue to support the enterprise in developing a roadmap for the adoption of Voluntary Sustainability Standards (VSS), standardizing the production chain, strengthening traceability, and connecting specialty coffee markets both domestically and internationally.
