In December, GEVA, in collaboration with Mr. Bui Khanh Tung, M.Sc. – Deputy Director of the Center for Organic Agriculture Development Support (VOAA), conducted a field survey in the coffee-growing areas and affiliated processing facilities of RainCoffee Joint Stock Company in Duc Trong District, Lam Dong Province. This region features a mild climate and fertile basalt soil, creating highly favorable conditions for the development of high-quality coffee.

RainCoffee is an enterprise developing a specialty coffee value chain based on sustainability, transparency, and integration, connecting smallholder farmers, raw material zones, processing facilities, and end consumers. Beyond systematic investment in production, the company currently operates 22 franchised stores, a network of 300 distributors, and offers 18 lines of pure coffee products, serving the domestic market while targeting export expansion.

During the survey, the expert delegation carried out the following activities:

  • Assessing the current status and development potential of the linked coffee-growing areas

  • Surveying the processing factory, as well as the procurement and primary processing system

  • Evaluating and shaping the linkage model between raw material zones, processing facilities, and end markets, thereby promoting sustainable development within the specialty coffee value chain

Following the survey, GEVA will continue to accompany RainCoffee in:

  • Developing a roadmap for the adoption of the voluntary Rainforest Alliance (RA) sustainability standard

  • Standardizing production towards sustainability, while enhancing traceability and export capacity

  • Connecting markets and supporting communication and promotion of green products

Join RainCoffee on its journey toward a green, sustainable, and globally integrated future.
