In December, GEVA, in collaboration with Mr. Bui Khanh Tung, M.Sc. – Deputy Director of the Center for Organic Agriculture Development Support (VOAA), conducted a field survey at Binh Minh Cooperative, which is implementing a coffee and black pepper cultivation model certified under the international Rainforest Alliance (RA) standard.

Binh Minh Cooperative is currently linked with more than 1,300 farming households, purchasing products directly from farmers and providing technical support in cultivation to build a sustainable raw material base. Its products are purchased by major corporations for export to demanding markets such as the EU, South Korea, and the United States.

Beyond serving as a procurement hub, Binh Minh Cooperative also actively promotes local economic development by creating stable livelihoods, increasing the value of agricultural products, and contributing to regional branding. The cooperative regularly organizes training programs on cultivation techniques, business, and entrepreneurship in collaboration with various non-governmental organizations and experts. These efforts enable farmers to access new knowledge, enhance their competitiveness, and become more proactive within the value chain.

Looking ahead, Binh Minh Cooperative is gradually converting part of its farmland to organic cultivation by reducing the use of chemical fertilizers and increasing the use of organic inputs, moving toward a greener, safer, and more sustainable agricultural model.

GEVA is proud to accompany models like Binh Minh Cooperative, which are steadily contributing to the development of a more sustainable agricultural future for Vietnam.
