In December 2025, the GEVA project, in collaboration with M.Sc. Mr. Bùi Khánh Tùng – Deputy Director of the Center for Organic Agriculture Development Support – carried out a field assessment at DACCO Coffee in Đắk Lắk Province. DACCO is currently developing an intercropping model combining coffee with black pepper and durian, in close partnership with local farming households.

At present, DACCO’s customers have not yet set specific requirements for sustainable products. However, amid a market trend that increasingly prioritizes products certified under internationally recognized sustainability standards, DACCO is proactively taking steps to transform its production model in order to seize opportunities in green exports.

Clear transformation potential: DACCO has strong potential to obtain certifications such as Rainforest Alliance (RA), which is the most suitable for its current growing conditions, while also aiming for certifications like Fair Trade. These certifications would help enhance product value and expand access to international markets.

Sustainable development strategy: Rather than focusing on increasing output, DACCO is oriented toward investing in product quality and building an integrated value chain connecting farmers, enterprises, and customers. Its local farmer linkage model serves as a solid foundation for strengthening the company’s competitive capacity.

During the field visit, GEVA experts provided strategic advice on improving the cultivation area in accordance with RA standards and supported DACCO in connecting with trade promotion opportunities through international trade fairs.

GEVA is committed to accompanying Vietnamese businesses on their journey toward green exports, sustainable development, and global integration.
