At the Vietnam International Sourcing Expo 2026, products from Ban Muong Xanh Cooperative were showcased for one day at the Green Export booth. During the event, approximately 100 trade visitors and members of international buying delegations visited the booth to explore the products, with particular interest in local ginger.

The Cooperative’s information was also featured in the Green Export joint catalogue, which was shared with approximately 100 importers and buyers after the exhibition. Notably, KisStartup supported the Cooperative in sending ginger samples to an importer in Taiwan for further evaluation and potential cooperation.

From Local Ginger to Value - Added Products
Ban Muong Xanh Cooperative develops its products based on locally sourced ginger, gradually moving from supplying raw materials to developing processed products such as fresh ginger and dried ginger. Processing expands the range of applications for the raw material, creates additional value after harvesting, and opens access to a wider range of customers rather than relying solely on fresh ginger sales.

One important area for further development is researching appropriate drying technologies and processing parameters to preserve the ginger’s natural golden color, flavor, and characteristics. At the same time, standardizing processing methods and product quality across batches will provide a stronger foundation for meeting the requirements of B2B customers and export markets.

From Local Raw Materials to a Value Chain
A key strength of the Cooperative’s business model lies in its ability to add value to local agricultural resources through processing and product development.

Rather than positioning ginger solely as a raw agricultural commodity, the Cooperative can gradually develop a broader portfolio of ginger-based products while exploring opportunities to supply raw materials, provide processing services, or develop products according to customer requirements.

This model provides a foundation for the Cooperative to connect with importers, distributors, and food businesses, while continuously improving its products based on real market feedback.

At the Vietnam International Sourcing Expo 2026, Bio ELAK showcased its products for one day at the Green Export booth. During the event, approximately 100 trade visitors and members of international buying delegations visited the booth to explore the products and discuss potential applications.

Several products attracted interest for different applications. Star anise powder was explored as an ingredient for restaurant chains, particularly vegetarian restaurants, while sea grape powder generated interest in pharmaceutical and cosmetic applications. These responses highlight the potential to develop products for specific applications and address clearly defined B2B needs.

From Local Ingredients to Value-Added Ingredients
Bio ELAK’s green business model is built on combining Vietnamese plant-based ingredients with modern processing technologies to develop value-added ingredients with broader applications.

The company develops powdered products from a variety of raw materials and ecological regions, including star anise from Bình Liêu, Quảng Ninh; sea grapes from Khánh Hòa; and red tea from Lâm Đồng.

Rather than bringing raw materials to market only in their basic form, Bio ELAK focuses on developing them into powdered ingredients that are more convenient for storage, transportation, and formulation, serving a wider range of customers across the food value chain and related industries.

Using Technology to Create More Value from Local Ingredients
A key feature of Bio ELAK’s model is the application of nanoencapsulation technology to help protect natural active compounds, improve ingredient stability, and limit oxidation.

The company uses naturally derived carriers such as inulin and gum arabic to develop more stable and convenient powdered ingredients for applications in food, beverages, nutritional products, and new product formulations.

The application of technology not only creates new product formats but also expands the potential value of the same raw materials, creating more opportunities to reach B2B customers looking for specialized ingredients.

At the Vietnam International Sourcing Expo 2026, Thu Dan Tea showcased its products for one day at the Green Export booth. On the first day, approximately 100 trade visitors and members of international buying delegations visited the booth to explore Vietnamese tea products.

Thu Dan Tea’s information was also featured in the Green Export joint catalogue and shared with approximately 100 importers and buyers, helping expand market outreach beyond the exhibition.

From Local Tea-Growing Areas to a Value Chain
Thu Dan Tea’s green business model is built on the combination of local tea-growing areas, farming experience, processing technology, and quality standards.

The company develops Oolong tea products from the Northwestern tea-growing region, combining local tea cultivation and harvesting expertise with modern processing methods, including Japanese fermentation technology.

Rather than focusing solely on finished tea products, Thu Dan Tea offers a diversified supply model, ranging from bulk tea leaves and raw tea materials for partners seeking private-label or further processing solutions to packaged tea products for the retail market.

This approach helps add value to tea materials throughout the production chain while enabling the company to respond to different B2B customer requirements.

Connecting Raw Materials – Technology – Standards – Markets
A notable aspect of Thu Dan Tea’s model is its ability to connect tea-growing areas with processing technology and market requirements.

The company develops its production in line with standards such as HACCP and ISO 22000, has 4-star OCOP products, and has experience exporting to China and Taiwan. These are important foundations when engaging with international buyers, particularly those looking for tea materials with stable supply capacity and consistent quality.

At the Vietnam International Sourcing Expo, the demand for Tencha tea leaves as raw material for Matcha production also opened up a potential B2B opportunity. The buyer expressed interest in starting with a small trial quantity before considering larger orders, subject to the raw material meeting requirements for quality, color, flavor, and consistency.
